What people have to say about Paul...

After being referred to Rock2recovery, I was on the phone to Sammo who worked with me during a challenging period of my life. Sammo managed to break down the barriers I was putting in my own way and got me to understand that I was going to be just fine. I had 3 months of weekly sessions, some were face to face and others were over the phone and Sammo made me feel so at ease that it was like I was talking to my best friend. I am now far more at ease with my life and I have found my inner strength and that is thanks to the great work that Sammo did with me. So this is a thank you from the bottom of my heart. You definitely helped me to help myself.

Female who suffered DV
After leaving the military, I sought out help for myself. I needed to use an  organisation that helped me immediately. I became aware of Rock 2  Recovery through a military friend who recommended their services.  I  did my research on the organisation and found the links in the press on  how it was founded.  I was assigned to Paul Sampson.  What I found  refreshing from the outset with was that Paul didn't want me to  recall the memories of what had happened.  Rather he explained to me in  a gentle but kind way that lives can be built up again. I became inspired by others in life who managed to turn their lives. I now had the  inspiration to help others. Paul Sampson was instrumental in this transformation.  I have now turned my hand to gardening and  helping the homeless while currently making plans to make a career into  mental health nursing.  I will forever be in debt to my family and  friends and to these organisations who have helped me to rehabilitate  myself and inspired me to help others who have experienced trauma in  their life.

Former soldier who wishes to remain anonymous
As a Marine, talking about my feelings wasn’t the done thing and I needed help with this. I was recommended the help of Paul Sampson via a close friend. Paul would hear me talk, and I was quickly becoming more open the more we spoke. It remained light but so impactful. I also soon started to really look forward to talking with him, eager to see how I was going to start to see something else new. I took away fresh perspectives and new understandings, which I needed to move on in a productive way and these better understandings serve me daily in any obstacles I meet today. Since working with Paul I better understanding of the choices I have.
